Jann Glider (Guitar, Lead Vocals)
Philadelphia-born guitarist and vocalist Jann Glider developed a deep love for jazz music in his youth, inspired by his friends. He began performing in junior high and later immersed himself in improvisation while playing with Cat’s Cradle in college. The band opened for the Allman Brothers in 1969, launching a lifelong career in music. Throughout the 1970s, Jann performed with No Alibi Blues Band, opening for major artists like Buddy Guy, Edgar Winter, and Roy Buchanan. Today, he brings his extensive influences together in Birds in the Hand, embracing the joyful, genre-blending spirit of jazz music.
Lisa Sellers (Lead Vocals)
Lisa Sellers has been passionate about singing since childhood. She started in the Philadelphia All Girl’s Choir at age 10, later joining high school and local singing groups. With formal vocal training and a background in choirs and bands like Smooth Transition and The Jasafarians, Lisa brings her rich soprano/alto range to Birds in the Hand. She cherishes the camaraderie of the group and is dedicated to spreading joy through her music for as long as she can sing.
